Hey, Manuela! Good to have you with us, and welcome indeed. We need the animators like you to shake up the community

I'm using Bishop 3D to get some half-finished looking scenes. And it's still more a learning path than doing such great images, like I have seen at TINA CHEP.
But I try hard.
I got soooo curious about all images and links here, so I finally had to register. |
Developing skills in POV-Ray is a process of patience, not really of difficulty. Curiosity is the good incentive to start digging into some features and try to emulate that. It is the way I mostly follow, as I am generally not interested in reading documentation page after page

Hm, it's hard to get me silent, I think.
I'm interested in almost everything. Preferentially in Science, Art, nature, cultures and languages... and I'm also an older person (poor Thax will stay alone as youngster^^). Ok, now I don't know, what to tell more... so just: Hello. |
The right mixture for brewing interesting images and animations
So, again, nice to have you with us to strengthen our little community. _________________ All the best,

Thank you very much for the warm welcome, Thomas!
So where should we start shaking them up?

Me, too.
Particularly, when it is easier to mither "walking dictionaries". ^^
There is one, who can tell you stories, I believe.

Hello o the crowd,
first a remark to my age. The deadline of the last contest (topic “dinosaurs”) was (German Time) at the early morning of the 17th of October 2011, my 50th birthday. Due to personal reasons I could only contribute a kind of WIP to the contest and earned last place, but to speak the truth, I was really happy to have a WIP ripe enough to have a contribution at all and I acknowledge that the other competitors were really better this round. Seeing all the other images I only hoped for the 7th place…
I have revealed my age already, now to my profession(s): In my youth I learned the job of a male nurse at the university hospital of Essen and worked there one year at a cardiologic intensive care station after the exam. The next three years I went back to school to make my “abitur”, which is a bit comparable to the a-level in Britain. I worked again a while at the university hospital, this time at the hematology, where I had to put some hundred very young people (16 to 25 of age) into coffins in the time of one year only. An experience I cannot forget for the rest of my life and which led me to another view of the worth of life.
After that I studied math, computer sciences and especially statistics. Now I’m working as a statistician in the German Health Insurance, evaluating the economic benefit of prevention incentive schemes. Not in all, but in the most cases I find as a researcher that prevention incentive schemes yield a better health in people which is much more pleasant than putting 17th years old boys or girls in coffins.
I rediscovered POV a while ago, rendered nearly all the codes of the irtc to learn from and now started to create my own pictures.
After living over 47 year at Essen I now live at Darmstadt, Germany since 2 and a half year.
Regards,
Michael |
