Hi all,

I've prepared a zip file that contains my include file "Terragen Sky.inc" together with an usage example and a simple ready made sky map. This is what I use frequently for outdoor scenes as e.g. my dragon image.
It also contains a Terragen script file to easily generated image maps to be used by "Terragen Sky.inc".

Main advantages:
- low memory footprint
- no problems with the mapping at the "poles"
- works well with radiosity and can create realistic reflections
- works also well with MCPov
- very fast to render
- easy to setup and the POV-Ray sun (light_source) will always match the "real" sun position within the sky
- can look very realistic, when you make a good one within Terragen Wink

Actually I should update my webside but I'm lazy so currently no direct link from there but you can download it directly from here:

I hope this is useful,

LOL, I totally understand Ive, and thanks, I'm going to grab it right now Smile

I've been playing around with Terragen for years and I just got the new version a couple of weeks ago but haven't had time to experiment yet. Maybe I can use it for my sky in this round - thanks again!

Cheers,
Rob

Oh! That is excellent! Thank you! I shall download that. Long time ago since I last played with Terragen.
